Apple TV 2nd Generation Teardown

The folks at iFixit have posted the Teardown of Apple’s newest gadget, the Apple TV 2nd Generation. They gave it a Repairability Score of 8/10 (10 is easier to take apart) and claim it to be very eco-friendly. For a price tag of $99 I think I might be getting one, but maybe for Christmas, what do you guys think? (more…)

This is great, it would certainly help to have one of these bad boys at work. Right now, we backup every night, alternating between two hard drive enclosures that get stored in our firesafe. This would eliminate the need to switch the backup nightly and just keep it going backing up. Watch the video where IoSafe sets fire to a hard drive enclosure, spray it with a fire hose, drop it from 20 feet, and then drive over it with a backhoe. Needless to say, the data survives. (more…)

Cool iPhone 4G Concepts

There are some cool concepts and rumors for the upcoming redesign of the iPhone Hardware. We know what is coming for the OS, which was announced last thursday but what is going on with the hardware? I still have the first generation and want the shiny new OS, but can’t have it (damn you Apple).
