Personal Jet Pack Anybody?
Martin Aircraft Company, a New Zealand based business is looking to produce 500 packs per annum (giggity) and will sell them for £50,000 approximately.
The pack weighs less than 254 pounds making it legal to fly without a pilot’s license if you care to take the 200hp dual rotor 60mph death rocket of your doom out for a spin (30miles in 30 minutes). Too bad my workplace is 43 miles away, well, this is going on roads, I wonder how far away is it on a straight line?
They have acquired enough funds to ‘mass produce’ the packs and they plan to market them to the military and emergency services (and of course private users).
I really hope I get to see the day when we all have our own jet pack in our garage next to the car that turns into a briefcase being dusted by our robo-maids.
